Just would like to know how people get there bumpers back to black but on a permanent basis, shall i just use some black spray paint?

boot polish, boot polish and some more boot polish mate..... or lots and lots of layers or bumper care/back to black, hope this helps.

you can use textured black spray paint, a blow torch will also return them to black on a long term, and for a couple of weeks of black meguires back to black gel is GREAT stuff.

halfords do a spray on bumper paint that i have used on a citreon ax bumper that turned white,required no prep other than wipe over with spirit wipe to de-grease and after a couple of coats looked like new evena after washing....would use again..

hey mate, i use simonize (cant spell it lol) back to black, it comes in spray can form, really good aswell!

i sprayed my bumpers, mirrors, boot handle, bump strips with it in october, and they look like new still!

Heard an interesting trick of the trade regarding this, smear smooth peanut butter on it. Apparently the oil in the peanut butter works a treat and it doesn't cost as much as back to black junk, which can also damage paint. Don't know about the period it will be black for.

why not just use a blow torch!

dont carry a blowtorch around all the time...

well i dont carry a adjustable spanner and toolkit all the time to remove the bumper to do what you said...

heat gun, melts the top layer slightly restoring the original colour. less dangerous than a blowtorch and lighting deodorant (how old are you? 12)

I did the blow torch trick a few months ago, worked well on the front but not on the back

But now have both faded again, i will take a look in halfords at some bumper paint type stuff

No point in burning holes or melting your bumper or applying greeasy crap that makes all the dust on the roads stick to your bumpers ..
