red is the best colour for GTIs

Silver is the most common I think. Was my least favourite colour but beggars can't be choosers - especially when a GTI has only 29k miles and full leather!

i was after a red one before i first started looking too, mainly after seeing polo01's converted one

but just like you its hard to sway from something with 26k miles on it

I spent a good few months looking for one, so was lucky to spot one just 90 miles away. Closest I had got was a red one with 48k, full leather, 200 miles away and it was red. Phoned up and it was sold :(

well you are gonna hate me lol i wasnt really lookin for a car at all n this just turned up as a px against a bmw 540i (polo gti wasnt the blokes cup of tea really) at the garage where i work n i really liked it so after doin a few sums i bought it lol

i started lookin the weekend b4 i found mine , woulda been perfect if it was a red one, but i love the pearl silver colour now prob more than i would red despite how many there are about

iv been thinkin, as far as lowering it goes i dont know whether il even bother. i might get shot of the car durin the summer n get something different, something diesel lol

well iv had me car back 2 weeks now (or is it 3? iv not been countin) n done nearly 600 miles, so in the long run it might be the right thing lol

dont do it, before my driveshaft fucked i was doin 400 miles or so a week or something in the gt

I do around 300 miles a week in my GTi!

Costs me around £40 a week for petrol, thats not to bad really. I know i would save money buying a diesel but then it wouldn't be as much fun!

Dont get me wrong there are some really nippy tdi's out there but then they cost a bit more than a GTi!

Saw you on my way back from work earlier this week, on Strawberry Place going past the stadium heading towards Barrack Road. Looked clean and tidy although if your going to keep it, a slight drop wouldn't go amiss
