My driving instructor put me on the motorway last week............... is it sensible putting an L plate driver on it?

As motorway driving is easier and more safe than urban driving, yes i think he was allright putting a learner on it

Depends what he means by motorway

3 lane trunk road - good

Motorway - bad

I've been driving 5 years and I'm still scared to drive on the motorway, far too many fast cars for my liking, and some of them have no consideration for other drivers, hate when they pull out in front of you with no indication that there gonna do it x

its not that bad, you realise though that you do have to concentrate alot on whats happening around you, and always check your blindspot before changing lane i find that its much more apparent on the motorway than in just normal driving. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature just like driving around town.

good luck
