165/55/14's on a G40??

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone had done this size on a G40? I have a nice set off alloys to put on my g40 once they are refurbed, but dont want 195/45's or 185/50's as I was thinking about going a bit lower!

Think g40Jon runs these on his, sure he'll be along shortly to advise.

I imagine they'll feel similar and have similar amounts of grip to 165/50/15's if you've even run these. I reckon trying to get hold of a set of bridgestones in this size, i know they make them but you may have to get them imported from Japan.

165 on a G40...rather you than me Andy. Why not get some 195/40's if you want to go lower? I am going to use 195/45 on the GT and it's H&R Cup Kit 60/40...no real reason to go any lower than that as you'll only make the car handle like a wardrobe.

why would you want to use a tyre thats narrower than stock?

mine are 165/65/14s in a decent make.

they get the power down not bad on the heck.
