Hey all, got my mk3 with direct line at the mo, only 17 at the minute with my dad as the main driver on the insurance. Wanting to do a few minor mods on it, just wheels, grille and lights, now I rang up directline and asked them and they first thing they asked for was my age and after telling them my age the woman just fobbed me off and said I had to be 25 and pretty much ended the call. Thing is though, my dads the main driver and is well over 25, also my cars only third party fire and theft and I only put a value of 300 down, my voluntary excess is about that much, so if it got robbed or anything I'd end up getting nowt for it. So do you think I'm ok to put some wheels on it (nothing fancy) and change the look a little bit seeing as I'll get no money for the car, or if I crash will my car still get checked over by direct line for mods or not because its only third party?

I'm with direct line and i wouldnt bother mate. if your car is modified then they shall turn they nose up at you and give you fuck all money. they wont even accept alloy wheels..

I'm the same I'm with direct line and they were very pissy about it so id try somewhere else. I heard quinn direct are very good aswell.
