1985 Mk2 coupe S Black 31k!

Featured Replies

Time has come to sell my polo as i need the money for my new business venture. it was 1st registered 1/1/85 on a B plate and odometer currently reads under 31k I've done nearly 10k in the 12months I've owned it with no worries heres the brief score

coupe S black

red and black interior in great condition with one fag burn hole on the back seat (pics to follow)

4spd gearbox + pool ball knob

lowered on spax shocks and springs front, fk height only adjust coilies and spax springs on the rear

13x6 alloys from a 82 mk1 golf with yoko 539 with good tread

got 4 mk1 gti wheels with good tyres included with the sale

panasonic cd player and sony 6x6 xplod speaker in rear shelf (original uncut shelf also included with sale)

engine is an MH unit (dunno why) did have breather probs which are now fixed, oil is still evident (haven't cleaned it up) the engine uses no oil and runs sweetly

peirburg carb works (ish) starts fine but can really struggle to idle from cold but after a minute it sorts itself out, and when warmed up operates as it should

dash temp gauge can be intermittant

Bodywork/chassis

is generally very good only visible surface rust is the rear valence is starting to go and a very slight surface scab on front wing (pic to follow) traces of waxoil are visible on all panels only area which presents a problem is the passenger side door which has been missing a seal at some point so water has ingressed into the door starting to rot the bottom out with only slight bubbling visible on very bottom of door, other than that when i bought it the chassis had fuck all rust. Going in for mot on thurs so will have a peek and poss a pic when its up on the ramps (will be sold with 13months mot)

Bodywork has a good few minor dings the only serious ones being on the passenger door (you can just about see it in the pics) and a slight bit of paint crazing on the boot lid, dont think that the others detract from the appearance at all.

I WILL UPDATE THIS POST LATER IN THE WEEK WITH DETAILED PICTURES OF EVERYTHING AND PAPERWORK DETAILS, PLEASE BE PATIENT AS I AM VERY BUSY WORKING

PRICE IS £700

My name is Tim and am a straight up person i wont mess u about so dont mess me about, the car is sold when i have cash not promises

as i mentioned i will take more pics when i can later this week,

based just outside exeter (devon) you are welcome to come and poke it about if you like

I'm sure it would, I just haven't got time to make the trip except at weekends, and weekends are when I spend time with my little monkey and help around the house. I'm keeping an eye out for a similar motor around here. Good luck with the sale!
