4WD is defo for gays, glad you are trying to stay away from it.

The advantage of going to a Skyline is the tuning scene is SO immense, you'll never ever run out of things to do.

I'm torn between a 330ci and a TT for my 21st in june....

330ci all the way! sports pack ones are soooooo nice!

i expect that will be the case.....black with cream leather all day long! i will have about £12k to play with so i will be sticking some 18x9.5 on the rear!

enter the fifth gear competition lol

Dude you'd get 9.5Js on a Polo, you KNOW 12J makes sense

Nooooooooooo. Polo with 2 bike engines in the back side by side haha.

Not a fan of Skylines since the last one I seen was being towed by a BMW Mini Cooper.... taught the driver a lesson for burnouts eh?!

Get a Lotus Exige, weighs nothing, just about the same size as a Polo, has a Toyota 1.8 16v 2ZZ-GE 180bhp engine in the rear powering through the rear wheels, does 0-60 in under 5 secs and will peak at 147mph... Plus they're so much fun even for the passenger (I've never drove one but been in lots of them), the back end loves to go out when you boot it on a corner, now the main advantage over the cars you've mentioned already:

...the body will NEVER, EVER, rust!!

God bless alloy chassis', fibreglass bodies, and 1.8 engines...

Do you know how much a Lotus Exige costs?

£8,000 will be able to get you a pretty good Elise.

£18,000 will get you a, how to pu it, well used Exige.

haha looked down the elise route, a mate has one they are so fragile and exp to maintain.

and as quinny said dirty exp to buy a decent one! the advantage of the skyline is that you never run out of things to do with it, reliable power if you dont take the piss, its a big car with 4 seats and a boot so has potential for future.(ish.haha)

sliding a lotus is interesting, the chassis is so short and grippy once it starts to go it is hard to control as its not designed to lose traction. its more or your car that is supposed to go through a corner as fast as possible or not at all.lol

@ goose

i did

haha

a friend of a friend has 12's on his e35 turbod beemer, he is a madman, he ground a bit off his suspension to make then fit! haha

skyline all the way IMO

Wouldnt go down the route of the Elise's, just the Exige. The Elise's arent waterproof. I've washed them and ended up drying the inside of the doors from the water running down the inside of the doors. Let's just say soapy alcantara is a nightmare to dry lol.

Skyline's are sweet but I think they're becoming more common.... still would love one though. Fella I know got a GTR at 20, lovely car.... Silver with 18" multispoke wheels, look like the BBS's off the Porsche racecars.... Nice growl off it, but I'd rather RWD even though it's not as quick....

Remember seeing a Subara Impreza estate in Max Power years ago painted metallic purple/blue with the back doors smoothed shut and the wide arch 22B kit, along with a tuned WRX engine.... Sweet.

Black RX7 with a nice set of bumpers and completely black windows with no spoiler and massively wide black dishes... looks the sex! saw one at santa pod mmmmmmmmm but it went bang leaving behind synthetic oil up the strip, had to re-tarmac the whooole way up the strip! skyline are gawwjus but theres sum quality diff jap cars when u look through the importers

well I'm going to have to think fast now, am breaking my polo due to a wheel coming off and taking my front arch with it. (will explain the story)

all the bits from the car will be listed when i think of them!

it can be fixed but i dont have the will anymore so it pains me to say it but she is going to be broken.

thats actaully really sad ^^^ :(

you have no idea how devastated i am, I'm writing the parts list that i can think and i feel like sh#t.

i loved that car! my family didnt like it cos it looked old but even my mum knew how much i cared for it! (which I'm still shocked about!)

it could have been much worse. I'm just gutted i never got to drive her at her full potential!

hopefully someone buys the whole conversion and gets to enjoy it!

I really wanted to see this car finished :-(

Mate so did i! so did i!

How nice is that though! may not be to some of yours tastes but hmm i want!

cant wait to get the catalogue of cars i can get imported for me!

That skyline is uber nice, would prefer one of them to a G40 any day of the week to be honest :p

That Skyline is sweet but I would ditch the blue annodised wheelnuts, need silver ones instead I think! Apart from that its sweet.

looks wise, ilove the front end not so keen on the back tho

Its the only pic i have of it atm I'm afraid. But its a minter.

Rebuilt engine and turbos, full i/c set up. (could spend ages going through the spec but prob not what youre interested in!)

It is going to be mapped and roaded when the turbos are put back on next week. It will either have N1 turbos or garrett 2860-7 turbos (hopefully the latter!)

But both mean about 1.4bar high boost and around 450atw power.

It is an N plate but has done 50k miles and everything is under warranty!

It sits on tein adustable coilovers and in car electronic adjustable dampning with 18 x 10j et 25 BBS LM's recently refurbed!

So very soon i will be one happy chappy!

Can't complain at that, and I bet it didn't cost much more than you've spent/would spend on your G40!

Could be lower

haha tell me about it! i look at it as a fun toy and an investment, they do hold their value fairly well, well one hell of a lot better than a g40 anyway!lol

Thats alright thats what coilies are for!lol

Then again my drive is a beast so we will see!

thats fucking rude i love it !

i no nothing about jap so dont shoot me. could u supercharge a skyline that would be cool

yeah you can, someone has put a rotrex i think on one of theirs. Its nout special though. Only about 250brake i think.

But its the effort that counts!

I'm going to miss the instant boost but i think the overall power may make up for it!lol

James as i never took you out in the g I'm sure ill find the time to give you a ride in this one.lol

may rock up to a vw meet when i get it to say hey! may get shouted abuse at but meh!
