Yep but with a rear drive offset

what does that mean exactly?

and i can still put them on my polo with adapters?

yes but they will be ET20 to start with

they are 14x7, so even with et20 theyll go on a 6n2 id hope :)

anyone else think so? :)

Should be fine

I would say they should be OK with small adaptors... But what Cortinas ran 7Jx14"s? :?

my ebay bargain - item no : 320219785887

just realised, could i get someone to redrill a 4x100 stud pattern on the wheels in between the current pattern?

save spending god knows how much on adapters?

:D

Be careful what some people call a 7J wheel. A 7J wheel is actually around 8 inches wide from outer edge to outer edge. The 7J part is measured from inside lip to inside lip.

The wheels your looking at don't look quite wide enough to be a 7 imo. I could be wrong but i'd double check before bidding. That and make sure they have a flat mounting face if you wanna re-drill.

just bought the wheels for £30, collect on sunday

they look like flat faces from the pics, so i should be able to drill them. I'm not 100% fussed if they're not 7js, as il be spacing them anyway.

just means thicker spacers :)

still think they're a bargain.

I agree £30 for a set is a bargain. Failing that you could sell them to the ford boys if they don't work out.

true :) and prob make a good profit on them.

what kind of place do you think i should take the wheels to get them drilled? assuming the faces are flat.

You can redrill Wellers (had it done myself), but the centrebore looks a bit overlarge on that to do 4 x 100 safely.

Ah, Wellers lol

We've got a set of 13x7 Weller 8 spokes on our horse box

They cost £20 for a set of 4 at a local auction! All brand new, still boxed, with Weller Wheels stickers on them!

But, you have got yourself a bargain there, even if they don't fit and you sell them on I wouldn't think you'd be at a loss.

Common as anything in 13's, 14's and up can be scarce.

Those aren't from a Cortina, the offset is FWD.

Mk3-5 cortinas were 'FWD' offset, along with the granadas! ET30-40 ish.

Mk1-2 cortinas and capris were 'RWD' offset, like the escort. ET 16-20ish.

There's no such thing as FWD and RWD offset really, just what the majority of cars of each type ran.

You can redrill Wellers (had it done myself), but the centrebore looks a bit overlarge on that to do 4 x 100 safely.

yep, you'd have to have a deathwish to want to have those redrilled the centrebore is far too big, just get some adapters

pardon my ignorance, why would it so bad to drill?

where can i get some adapters from? or could i make/get them made? :)
