slightly fabricated (i.e. knocked into the right size) standard subframes that came with the seats!

urgh dont really want to have to fork out 50 odd quid for a chunk of metal but i have no means of fabricating new subframes!

sparo ones look sexy! and as do the golf ones

A post from about this time last year. Not a mk3 GT but the same fitment.

Another update!

This morning I decided I would have a look at fabbing up some mounts to fit the buckets in :D

So here we go:

Cut the feet of the old seat bottoms.

Weld onto the steel strips I had made in school:

Bolt onto the seat:

It fits!!:

Repeat for the other side:

Rears seats in aswell!:

I'm really pleased with myself now ;D

It looks like the seats are sloping forward, but they aren't. Strange.

What anchor point have you attached the harnesses to in the centre (between the seats)?

Cheers,

Mark

Have you used the same point for both belts or have you put one in for each side?

Cheers..

pinches strikes again :)

and almost guaranteed itll be two seperate points for each harness, id rather have the fixed point where my harness fits directly behind my seat rather that skewiff as if you were thrown forward i can imagine which one of the two would be more pleasant.

pinch you ever used the safety devices pre-tensioners?

every strap in my car has its own mounting point.

pre tensioners? no mine are proper FIA aircraft spec
