from start 2 finish

brought the car of here originally bk in early 2007 of lupei car was good with fsh clean interior and exterior with a few marks here and ther but overall pretty good it was totally standard apart from it was lowered all round 60mm.

after about a week noticed a brown patch on the drivers footwell so investigated and found 2 b a rotten battery tray.

had it all cut out and welded then sealed. i then had all 4 top strut mounts replaced at vw as well as having 2 new rear wheel bearings in terms of replacing stuff like 4 like thats bout it been a really reliable fun 2 drive car..........things have moved on a little since then!.

A LIST OF EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE SINCE THEN:

golf mk4 interior light

kenwood cd player with alpine dash speakers

central locking with alarm and remote open/lock

boot popper operated by remote

front fogs (genuine vw)

1x uk rear light 1x german rear light lens

wolfsburg side repeater blanks

smoked fron indicators

tinted front headlights

de badged grille with "gt" badge

inxx bonnet lifters

14" p-slots polished with continetal 195/40/14 rubber

g40 front brakes

rear phil j coilovers -75mm front springs and shocks -60mm

new fuel tank

full respray in calypso green (doors + sills re waxoiled)

new roof mouldings

new lower window mouldings

extended bonnet

aerial blanked off

mk3 golf dorr handles

bottoms of bumpers painted body coulour with tops of bumpers and arch/sills repainted in satin black

bumpers/arches/sills smoothed of 2 get rid of texture

rear spoiler from germany (have not seen another on a mk3 coupe yet) painted satin black

smoothed tailgate with bumper cut 2 accept no plate recess

german plates

wiper arms repainted satin black

corrado front seats

back of car totally stripped out

premier performance dials + red needles

omp steering wheel

wlofsburg gear knob/window winders/mirror adjusters/floor mats

all carpet exchanged was origianlly grey now all black

door cards changed for black instead of grey

fully rebiult gt lump

weber twin 40's

4 branch + de cat + custom centre section and remus backbox

p&p head

shrick cam

vernier pulley

mk2 1.3 golf ignition setup

new scuttle cover from vw

sills repainted black

front lower and rear upper ged bars

all engine work carried out by profesionals!. and finally tuned at aldon auto

In all honesty not too keen on the bonnet, but everything else looks spot on!! That colour is gorgeous...

yeh I'm not keen on the bonett either mate thats y I'm changing 4 another just isnt what i want so time 2 change!

saw this car in the flesh yesterday... it's a sweet car, good stance, mint bodywork and the engine is gonna be sweet as when the carbs are set up!

i had a problem with this as they would only send 2 mainland europe no islands i.e england si i had it posted 2 my freinds mum's house in poland and she then sent it 2 me!

well done mate, 106bhp!! only 8bhp off standard G40 power!!!. Whats she like on the juice now. I bet you can really feel the power increase?

its actually ok on petrol ok not as good as a standard lump but its not 2 bad on about £25 I've dun bout 120 miles which isnt 2 bad always put 97 in tho as thats what was in wen i had the car at aldon.

and the power------well thers a stretch of duel carridgeway and i was out in it a few nites ago really late so thought id really open it up and c what i could do not exactly sure how long the stretch is its not that long i had it nearly off the clock it gets up ther so quick and its pulls rite thru the rev range the short ratio gt box's are great!

Very similair spec to my mk1 apart from i'm running bike carbs and a lightened flywheel. What duration is your cam??

Good result, looking at the graph it looks like it should drive really nicely with good torque spread throughout the rev range

yeh it does drive well bit lumpy at low revs.

I'm running a psd 268/268 cam so it should make similair figures. That is if the port work on my head isn't too big as i did really take the piss when i ported it, they are circular to match up with the custom inlet manifold.

Are you using a vw motorsport manifold for your 40's??

I'm using a manifold from demon-tweeks ther made in italy it works but ther shite quality i could prolly get a few mor horses with a decent inlet manifold but wudnt b a huge gain the inside of my inlet isnt smooth its rough and orrible

Guess what mate!! I walked by a Porsche Boxster and I seen a mk3 coupe in the EXACT colour today and stopped to admire it. My mate then asked "what are you looking at?". Me: "I want that car". Mate: "why it's a rusty old banger" (quality line but had to argue the colour was sweet). Was only a CL but the colour looks AMAZING in the sunshine, so I'd love to see this car in the flesh!!

Just not sure bout the bonnet but its unique I guess!
