well i live near where u are mikee and i know what you mean but to be fair people pn this site are generally not like they enjoy driving and may be quite spirited at time but dont do what half the people do round you !!

people on here do generally stylishly mod there car generally all the same and are more interested in worhtwhile performance and nice styling then big exhausts that make loads of noise and no really gains !!

Now this might sound a bit sensible, but why don't you just stop showing off to all your chav mates driving like a lunatic in car parks!?!

Some people, namely me & my neighbours, are constantly hassled from the noise, vandalism & disruption brougt on by boy-racers in their sup'ed up polos & other pathetically small-engined-big-exhasted cars. The noise of 'phat' exhausts & screeching tyres is horendeous & can go on until the small hours of the morning - when most people should be asleep!

Not only have boy racers been known to crash into other peoples cars & property without a care in the world, but the hooliganism brings along criminals who willingly commit vandalism & worse. Doing these street races in residential areas is simply dangerous, annoying to locals, and attracting criminals to areas of what were very tranquil.

I love fast cars. I go racing. But when I do, it's on a racing track - with safety features like crash barriers & on-site medics.

Get some cash together with your mates & do it properly by hiring a race track. You'll enjoy it a whole lot more.

Right. I'll be finished having my two cents after this last sentiment. Pay your fine, get off your friggin soap box about trying to claim it back on a daft policemans inability to record a crime correctly. Oh.... and get a decent car Bracknell scum......

It doesn't sound 'sensible' at all you've made several prejudiced and stereotyped assumptions of 'boy racers'. 'Boy racers' are not automatically 'hooligans' or 'criminals' because of the manner they drive in. Even if you claim you can smell 'hash' in car parks that does not reflect on every person who you can call a 'boy racer'.

The fact of the matter is that there is a small minority of young drivers who have the mentality of the first poster, but at least he was wise enough to admit that it was not clever. There are a lot of young drivers, like many on this site who are enthusiastic about modifying their cars to their own tastes cosmetically and to improve performance. This does not make them hooligans or criminals or even 'boy racers'.

I don't condone the behaviour of the person who submitted the first post as I stated earlier, nor how you've put your point across. I applaud how you have taken action against individuals causing nuisance in your area, however I rebuke the unjustifiable generalisations of young drivers and 'boy racers' even in light of your victimisation.

My mum got classed as one after she had to swing around an old woman that just reversed out without looking, when she went up to ask her what she was doing all she got was "are you one of those racers?", and this is a 49yr old woman in a 98 Honda Accord executive sport, ok the back box had gone giving it a nice sound but still not really a "boy" racers car, also the fact that she was parked in front of this woman with on-call strobes on and On Call Doctor stuck on the boot.
