alright

just sorting the loom for my engine conversion

i have all the plugs wired up apart from two, and two raw wires ( engine side of things)

see pics, i know they might be difficult to work out from the pics

this is a long length of wire near the blue temp sensor and the dizzy plug

i think it could be the black temp sender wire? what is the length of raw wire for?

this is a green wire from the loom, that has been joined to a red wire, there is no plugs with missing wires, its just a raw wire, the surrounding green wires go to the dizzy plug and the above plug

top looks like a coil plug to me

Yeah thats a coil plug. Thats the trouble with old looms, often get hacked into for alarms and things

any clue on the green/red wire in the second pic

the green/red one looks like it might have been spliced in for an air-fuel-ratio meter, can you see where the green wire goes to? Does it connect to a purple/violet wire?

That loom looks like a right mess I hope you didn't pay much/anything for it as it's going to cause you a lot of headaches I'm sure!

it came with my engine conversion

everything is present and correct and not messed about with the masking tape is my labelling, and i removed the looom tape on the shown section to inspect the wires

the only two parts i am usure / non-standard are the two parts in the above pictures

do i ignore the two raw wires now then

as i have no gauge or alarm system currently

also are the g40 and gt looms similar because i have labelled some of my g40 loom using my old gt loom

They are up to a point. Injectors, ancillaries and so on. But there's different sensor plugs in various places. For example the G40 has a knock sensor under the inlet manifold and the gt obviously has the Air flow meter.

how easy or not is it to connect a G40 loom to a 6N , ie so u have working gauges and what not ??

what needs to be done ??
