We just got word that world-renowned car customizer, Boyd Coddington died this morning around 6 am. Although we don't have any details on what caused Coddington's death, we do know that he was in and out of the hospital over the past month. A spokesperson for the Coddington Corporation confirmed his passing earlier today and they'll be releasing a statement soon

I can't belive it he made some very nice hot rods but i dident know he was that old. Still quite young to die though.

Loved watching American hotrod on sky, was one of my favourite programs

Seen every American Hotrod and kind of got to know all the Characters even though it was kind of set up for the cameras there was some great humour and great cars, one of the programs that got me into cars in the first place.

I didn't always like his super clean style of hotrods but hey R.I.P.....
