evening peeps

Picked up the coupe S last saturday from planetxking, top geezer and top car

although it is schweet motor, decided the paintwork wasn't really my style, so took today off work and went to see my good mate Q for a bit of help painting and that...

ta da! zie frugalwagen ist born ja?

what do you reckon?

next up is get some stencils made up for tyres pressures above wheels, maybe some convoy discs front and rear, maybe mount a pick and shovel somewhere

my other vehicle is this beast

she has been off the road for a full year enjoying a very slow rebuild, so this might explain my need to create a substitute!

now, the very tidy coupe s red on black interior is a bit OTT for the scheme, really needs boggo seats and green covers, the door cards have some very nicely fitted infinity components in them and it's a bit too nice, anyone interested in the seats and door cards dop us a pm

same goes for the 13" bbs rims, got a set of poverty steels to go on, give us a pm if you fancy them, will put some better pics in the correct area

peace

 crazy

Nice colour choice 8-)

yeah pabs, i like hows its looking mate! have you decided what stencil you going for yet!, i reckon you should put the rack back on her and fill it stuff and cover with camo net!!!

nice job. i wanna paint my car now

What sort of paint did you use mate? How much did it cost?

no fucking way, i came up with the idea of fitting my space saver to my boot lid today, now it'l just look like i'm coping you! looks like it'll just have to stay on the roof rack for a bit :(

your car looks sweet tho mate 8-)

Glad you got rid of that really poor graff. Looks good in that green too. Not sure about the wheel on the bonnet tho. Mount it on the boot lid if anywhere!

Aww I love it. Lets see the jerry cans fitted then and some final pics mate!! :D

Not sure on that spare wheel being on the bonnet. Maybe if it was a space saver it would be better.

Wow, thats a transformation from when Alan had it... old thread bumps FTW! any more updates pablo?

loking good, i think i still prefer the graf it was abit differant.

as for the jerries on the boot make sure there empty and you dont get rear ended

I like the sound fo the shovel 8-)

like the car mate, its just the spare that i cant bring myself to agree with. maybe for shows you could have it on there, but everyday driving is a different matter for me.

not having a dig at all mate, just posting my views, i can see the look you are going for, and its a good one, youve completely transformed it already.

heaven forbid you should have an accident in your car mate, but where is that wheel gonna go if you do? and at what speed?

i aggree, the car looks good with the paint.... but the tire is a biiiiiiiiiiiit sketchy..

He drives a 109" Land Rover on off road tyres. That'll try and kill him every time he goes round a corner in the wet. It wont have brakes. It's also got sod all visibility, or at least it hasn't if the wheel's on the bonnet. So long as it's properly secured I doubt having the wheel on the bonnet will scare him much!

Polo's looking good anyway- far better than before and I think the spare wheel/ jerry can idea rocks...

good save from all that graffiti crap looks tonnes better!!!

looks cool as hell 8-)

indeed loads better without the naff graffiti

i actually really liked the graffiti, all bar the bonnet, but it was done really well. shame to see it hand painted, i hope the finish is actually quite good. the tyre is rather sketch as i can imagine it obscuring a large amount of the road, plus if it is actually a spare then the tyre can suffer from premature aging in the sun (with cracking sidewalls) due to exposure of direct sunlight, 4x4s have loads of problems with their spare tyres on the back often being unusable
