Mk3 Polo Tinted Headlights

Featured Replies

Hey guys n gals.

I've had these a fair while, but only just got around to sorting them out for all you nice polo people.

They are all in fairly good nick, but please remember, they are still about 15years old, so the odd scuff/scratch or minor chip is to be expected. I'm mentioning this because I'd rather be honest and not make people think they were buying NEW headlamps!

Anyhow,

These have been opened up, the mirror finish removed on certain sections, cleaned, masked up and sprayed with a couple of coats of HIGH TEMP matt black paint. They were then cleaned again, the lenses were thoroughly cleaned inside and out, and they were all sealed up again with outdoor grade silicone sealant and checked for gaps in the seal. Oh yeah.. and then they sat in a radiator cupboard for 3 days, drying! :)

These do NOT come with bulbs, caps or brackets - you use your current ones to fit the headlamps.

And.. as seen on my old car here:

The price is £35 PLUS postage. I'm currently working out what that's going to be. Please remember that these are weighty items and will need to be well packed to avoid breakages!

These take quite a while to prepare and make properly, plus the cost of materials of course!

Any questions, just ask!

Josh

Balls...if only i'da known before i did mine yesterday...would've saved me from melting bits and shattering a lens...

Quick question though - how do i go about removing the plastic bit that attatches to the light unit and the car (hope you know what bit i mean...)

Anyway, free bumpage and good luck with the sale. :D:thumbsup:

Any idea on postage costs yet?

Yeah, ill have a set if they are sub-£40 inc. postage.

Got any smoked indicators as well?

If you could PM me when you have total cost inc postage, i may well be very interested if not too expensive!

Guys.. I'll get em weighed for you tonight.

I think Phillay to the J is after a set aswell so that'd be all three accounted for!

Will PM you both :)

WIGGY - you have to give it a bit of old school elbow grease and just force them off the brackets. The clips pop out through the metal housing on the headlamps.

Ohh.. PS - sorry for not having gotten that final price up yet, I've been at work for the past few days (ALL day!)

EDIT - Gonna be about £7 or so to post...

Will PM you both now.
