I have severely run out of steam on my polo project, mainly due to lack of funds that comes with being a student, Lack of time and more interest in my Golf trackcar project than this

The actual current state of the car, is that it is sitting in my garage, on Blocks, with no wheels on and no engine, Attaching the subframe and rear beam to fit the wheels on would be no major task as is, so the car could be considered a rolling shell, but as it has no engine, will need to be trailered as it is in its current state

What the car actually is....

Its a 1998 Mk4 polo 16V, S registration year in Magic black

the shell mileage is around 70K

What the car has got going for it:

The engine bay is smoothed, but as I'm not a bodyshop person its not painted, as I don't want to paint it myself and risk fucking up all the hard work smoothing it

the engine I have for it, is a standard 1.4 16v,

all the engine mounts are smoothed and powder coated black,

fuel rail and inlet manifold are smoothed and painted black

Coil is mounted in the scuttle tray, along with the coolant reservoir

The front subframe of the car and ALL components that attach to it are brand new and powdercoated orange, powerflex bushes, all new Vag bearings, G60 discs and caliper carriers, polo GTI anti roll bar (£500 worth of just bits on that) subframe itself was the only part not new, that has had grind plates welded to the bottom and this has been coated aswell

have all the parts for gti rear discs on the rear of the car

KW Variant (1 or 3? which is the entry level stuff?) coliovers

G60 steels with yoko A539s

The rear arches are pulled out a good inch, and sealed, easily accommodate 9" wide wheels

Front arches are rolled/pulled/flared whatever the in flavour terminology is, a good inch again, retaining the standard shape, but accommodating 8inch wheels easily with no rubbing whatsoever these have also been fresh painted

their is rust on the drivers door at the bottom

the rear bumper is smoothed all over, but the paint has started cracking at the bottom,

the bootlid has been de handled

have no front bumper for the car in its current state

Car carries the plate J33 DUB, which would have to go with the car, as it has no MOT to transfer at the moment, (I was offered £500 by a few people, when i mistakenly put it for sale previously)

I know its not exactly an attractive proposition, but i have totally lost heart, in a rather spectacular fashion

I know what the car used to look like, and can look like once its had a good clean, and I'm sure with not a huge amount of effort could be pretty special again, with a nice smooth bay being the icing on the cake

I'm just putting it up on here, to see if i can find an easy way out, so if you are remotely interested, pm me and i can shwo you pictures of the current build status and things like that
