What size are they? 16"?

I'd love some 15" ones for my Lupo.

Yes mate they are 16 x 9 1/4 fronts et34 and 16 x 10 rears et17

Darren reckons he can get them on, so i will be leaving it in his capable hands, guy doing the bodywork is also confident he can pull the arches over the tyre!

I will see if i know of anybody with some 15's, there is a guy near me in Brighton that has some 15" comps for sale but i dont think they are turbo's, will PM you with what they are when i find them.

Thanks to everyone else for their kind words, the tape is now off and the wheels look pretty cool, the uters need a bit of a rub down but otherwise iam pretty happy.

Awesome mate, whens the next meet at The Fox?

who goes there? might be interested :-)

I haven't been for a while, normally a good laugh if the weather is good. Its a Club GTi meet but I go along when I can anyway.

Feel free to pop over, will start a thread nearer the time.

Well after a rather long time and some proper ghetto mods the car is now sitting pretty, though the rear is maybe a little too low so i may raise it up a notch just so it sits a little more level, but raising a car is silly talk!

Spec List:-

-PhilJ 80/60 kit (rear is sitting on the middle adjuster and the fronts lost two coils to the grinder and the bump stops were also chopped to fit)

-G-Ladersite Cathedral clamps on front

-Plastic camber shims rear (Regal Autosport)

-Rial Mesh wheels painted gold by me 14x6 et33

-Nankang 155 55 14's

-Ghetto arch rolling using handle of wrench

Hopefully get it to some shows when i get a new key cut, because i snapped it and this happened after all our hardwork!

Massive thanks to ...Joe and Darren at G-werks for letting us use his workshop, sorry we ignored your advice on not cutting the springs Darren

Thanks mate

The car drives no different after loosing the two coils so iam not sorry i was just appologising to Darren as there are obviously more sensible ways of dropping the car further and Darren suggested getting some custom shorter springs made up, but me and Joe ignored him and cut them anyways!

That looks proper pimp mate, nice one! Hope to see it next Sunday :D

Welcome to the forum mate and gotta say I love how this mk2 is coming along so far, I can feel the mintness lol. Found a website which does John Player Special stickers (http://www.simonlewis.com/stickers/stickers.htm). Very nice car and hope you enjoy your little Polo, what engine you got/planned?

Cool little project mate ..

Its still a breadvan ... hahah ..

Only messing .. Really like how it sits on those wheels

Stevie

Man, that car is so cool.

Just prove you don't ened load of money to build something tidy. Right colour, right set of wheels and the right stance and your onto a winner.

Is that part of a chopped spring on the rear tow eye?

simple yet most effective, breadvans rule!

Thanks for the comments guys, still got a few more 'retro' mods to do, peep mirror and single rally style fog light, tint lights and repeaters, also want a roof rack for her.

Chris those stickers are dope, i have mailed the guy about the Lotus JPS nose cone sticker ;)

I have no plans to make it faster at the moment, at somepoint i will be doing a conversion on the Corrado and did think about putting the KR lump in the Polo but it is not very easy because of the Polo's steering rack aparantly.

Maxeh, i will definately see you at the Fox on Sunday mate!

looks good m8 nice progress!!!

Yes mate that is the old spring that was on the car originally, the red shiny ones that we removed we had to butcher as we cut the springs in situe!

hehe, cool idea!
