Yesterday I went to Chichester car auctions and bought a Seat Ibiza 1.4 cool/s with 60,000 miles on the clock, fsh, new tires, fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, cambelt and regassed aircon for 950 quid! It has had all the work done in the past 2000 miles!

Will be getting some alloys later this week but i'm undecided as to what to go for...

And I know it isn't a polo but alot of the essential parts are the same, as is the tuning so I thought I would join anyway!

Ill pop some photos up once I find my camera!

Nice find mate, its still a VAG anyway so it doesn't matter if you don't have a polo. Some members have moved on from polo's to bigger VAGs but still welcome here. Some pics mate?

On the subject of rims it depends on your budget and the look your going for too. Then people can direct you towards rims your in the market for.

I live in Chichester, yeah I was thinking about Borbet a's, almost definately 16's because the arches need a fair bit of filling out!!! Shame though because they're 15's on it now with 2000 mile old tires........

Also if anyone knows, will it need archwork to fit 16x9j's under there? Or shall I go for the 7.5's?

Either that or I think ATS Cups could look pretty sweet....

Yeah but the wheels on it look wank to be honest. They're like van wheels! I'll put some pics up when i get a chance to get a decent pic of it.

I believe it's the same chassis as the mk3 golf and polo 6n? If so would I just be able to buy coilovers etc to fit those models? It's only that they seem more readily available. I only really want to drop it 40-60mm if at all because there's a shed load of speedbumps round my area so I'd end up getting stuck everywhere if I went lower!

Ill probably go for 7.5 16inch Borbets then. I'll leave the coilovers until I find out how much my Hifi will go for!

Believe it or not the insurance isn't too bad, 795 pounds 3rd party only in my Dad's name, but because he works abroad if anything happens I can jsut say I drive it while he's away! True enough, he is away 90% of the year!

Also my Dad said he found some alloys in the scrappy, I reckon they're worth a look, you never know what you're going to find. He's checked the fitments and everything so I'll let you know what they turn out to be...
