There used to be a VW meet at the Tesco's in town every couple of Sundays, not sure if there still is because i've been on a placement year.

What do you think of Storthes? Our internet has been down all weekend and you well struggle getting a phone signal. That party they had at D-Bar was a right disaster. Was well empty, there were more DJ's than students i recon! Can't believe i paid a fiver to get in!

Looked dead when we went past in the taxi. best off sticking to town, camel and tokos are pretty decent. Theres Society as well which is £1 drniks on mondays

I'm over in High Green. Can't go wrong with Camel Club, thats where were off too tonight, and yeah, Tokyo is good too. Not that keen on Society, worked there when it was called Shout, same thing everything a quid, but i would defo stick to the bottles there!!

It was called the student poject back to space or something, that night i went to D-Bar. It was advertised as 4 arenas and 20 DJ's. I thought they were gonna put some marque stuff up outside, but nope, it was basically 4 rooms in the D-Bar. Rubbish. Save your money's for Afterpartys warehouse project.

Ended up going to D-bar no one was up for going out and then there was a black out so it was after shock at D-bar.

Last night was a laugh with all the power gone. Had to get my mates to lift the barrier up so we could get the cars back in! I'm in my final year doing Transport and Logistics, meet sounds good if you dont mind my banger turning up.

Quick question for you Tom, i take it from you profile pic you will know all the biking routes round here. Do you know how to get to that storthes hall downhill trail? and are there any more?

D-bar had power so went up there for some aftershock.. karaoke was funny as fuck.

Meet would be good, mine needs some bodywork love, its a right tramp at the moment but means i dont have to worry about anyone dinging it

yes the downhill trail is live and kicking, infact I'm (me and a few mates) are responsible for most of its building and upkeep in the last few years. Theres a miniature downhill race there on the 5th October too!

Directions:

Walk out of the campus shop building towards the woods, and take the track to teh right of the bus stop, through the metal gate. Follow that until you get the to woods and you go through a stile next to a gate into the woods. Walk straight forward into the woods about 100m, and theres a cross-roads in the footpath. Take a left , and keep a good lookout on your left about 50m down.

Its nothing challenging compared with a proper race-track, but good fun for anyone! :grin:

I'm such a pussy when it comes to downhill, I've never been able to do it, love my 2 wheeled pedal machines, but my trials bike see's little use, and all i really ride is my bmx for a bit of flatland lazy throwing about!
