Mk2 Jetta, Very Clean, Now On Ebay, Bag A Bargain

Featured Replies

Right here goes, having just bought a mk4 1.8 t and realising how much its gonna cost to insure I have no option but to put my jetta up for sale. Its a very reluctant sale as i have just spent quite a bit sprucing her up and making sure she runs on the dot but it has to be done...

Make: vw jetta mk2, blue/green

Model: Jetta Mk2 big bumper GL, so it includes p/s and c/l...5 door...1.8cc 8v automatic (rare)

Year/Reg: 1991 on a H

Mileage: 880000, vw stamped all the way through, bar its last service which was done at HighLine Motorsport in Leicester, a garage that specialise in german cars.

MOT: March 09

Tax: had it taxed last month

Good points:

Fantastic looking car

Excellent condition interior, not a mark anywhere, non smokers car

Great body work, straight etc

Sunroof

All interior controls fully working, heater etc

Optional factory chrome door handle inserts

Boss with a really nice feeling sports steering wheel (vw badge in middle)

Just had a new starter motor, refurbished alternator and battery fitted...reciept showing cost of work for £270

17" 5 spoke wheels with a nice amount of dish on them, polished dish and gun-metal grey in the middle (really suit the car) all tyres have good tread

Big bumper model

Light Blue/Green colour...nicest colour for the jetta in my opinion

Full vw stamped service history, loads of history with it lod MOT's etc, i was very impressed when i saw it

Front indicators and rear lights have been professionally tinted from the guy a brought it off (a v dub fanatic) looks spot on with the colour of the car

Original tape player

Original dealer plates, and dealer sticker inside rear window

It has had new brake pads recently

I'm sure theres more that i haven't mentioned

Cheap insurance, I'm 21 with no years no claims (as iv been on fathers insurance) and it cost me £559 a year fully comp

Absolutely lovely to drive, pulls well and engine sounds sweet as a nut

I ordered some german plates for it last week an they should be arriving tomorrow or day after so both sets of plates will come with the car

This car really has been looked after and its a shame I have to sell it but I need the money for insurance. My plans for it were to get some coilovers on there and a bonnet bra, with these it would be a real eye catcher at shows and a gorgeous looking car.

Bad points:

a few small, and i mean small, scratches. for an 18 year old car it is very impressive

Has the pierburg carb on it, if your not in the know about this its basically an auto choke carb that vw put on mk2s, its given me no bother as i just hold the revs at about 3000 rpm for 30 seconds when it needs it (on a very cold morning). Most people put on a weber manual choke carb which improves performance throttle response etc but i haven't had the need too.

Thats it on bad points. Basically a gem of a 18 year old car.

Oh and its got the original tape player, Iv left it in there cause i think its cool...haha

Viewing on this car is highly recommended as it is a really nice example of a genuine Jetta

Location: leicester

Pictures: are being put up tomorrow

Price: £495...this really is a bargain and its only going this cheap as i need to insure my golf. Saying that all sensible offers will be considered as I want to be driving the golf asap.
