Anyone else had absolute missions removing their standard stereo from a 6n2? Trying to get it out to wire in a hands free kit...

I've got some removal keys but they don't seem to locate in the slots very well, and when they do, the stereo just doesnt give!

Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah I found the credit card method works better than proper release keys.

I had alot of trouble with mine. The release keys go half way in and click, but you have to push them quite hard in.Once in you have to pull quite hard as well. With mine i managed to get one side out. Then just wiggles the other side out.It was a pain in the arse

It isn't hard, get the removal keys all the way in, so there's just the bits you hold sticking out, then bend both the keys outwards away from the stereo, then pull very slowly, it will come out, just perservere, it's all about getting the keys in far enough!
