I have recently purchased a Polo mk2,

I am from Rugby, Midlands ,

I was generally into fords, owing a XR2i but i saw this little minter for sill price and thought id have it.

here she is, only problem is its only a 1.3 :(

What you guys think? :-)

Theres nowt wrong with 1.3's. Mines only a 1.3 and i can do 130mph+ lol.

130 is easy in a G40! (1.3 multi point injection supercharged!) Ask D16RRT, she was spotted on the M6 @ 145mph! lol.

Theres afew engines that will fit in a mk2. I'm sure theres a thread on here atthe mo about mk2 engine conversions.

G40 engine, gearbox & all necessary other bits to get it to run - £1500+ !

AEE engine.

Rich,we totally have our taste for cars in common! I've had one mk1 XR2,two mk2 XR2's,one Bosch XR3i and one XR3efi - and then bought a 1988 Polo Coupe S. The build quality.. Well,i never looked back!

My Coupe S is now a 1.6 on bike carbs - XR2i's? It snows Focus ST170s and holds ST-2.5T's!

Stick with that pricelessly tidy little Coupe bro,trust me.

Get some 1.6/1.8 8v Golf mk3 brakes on there (they're vented and they widen the rear track) and get some billet alloy front anti roll bar mounts milled up to pull your castor forward and stiffen the front - you'll loose the love for the biscuit tin in no time!
