I am in my 3rd year of driving, for my first car i got a lil 1.3 4speed mk2 polo bready which had ONE owner from new with just 40,000 on the clock and paint work was spot on!!! any way after 4 months of driving what then was my pride and joy around the building oppasite where i work decided one day to respary the front of there building. This resulted in covering over 400 cars with over spray!!! i was kinder lucky and only got 1 colour where as others got up to 3 differnt colours!! so my car got righten off but i got a pay out and carryed on driving it till i bought myself a mk2 coupe s which was EXZOMBIE86C!!! loved the car had loads on plans for her when some stupid lady just pulled infront off me and slammed her brakes and i locked up hitted her head on (I'm still fighting my case on this since october 08) so my heart was broked when i limped her home and now have been stripping her down looking very sorry for her self on the drive!!! but befor i get ahead my self i have say i kept my lil bready for my mum and bro to drive and a week after my crash in the coupe my nabiour reversed in to the bready putting FAT dent in rear quarter!! so got righten off again and i got paid out and carryed on driving it!! BUT to top it off just 2 nights ago my mum poped down shops and retured to the passenger door totally smashed in!!!! the guy done a runner!!!!!!

from this i have decided i dont want a red car ever again!!! but I'm still staying stong with a white bready i got atm have bit fun in that!!! and going to put the 1,3 out of the coupe in to it very soon!!!

My luck isnt quite as bad as your mate, but I ahd some crazy bitch open her door as I was driving past her the other week and wrecked my pride and joy!

I've fighted and fighted and finally she has been proven 100% liable, btu the car is probably going to get wrote off either way! Still not sure on what I'm gunna do then! We shall seeeeeee!

First polo was wrote off by a coach

Second polo went through 3 gearbox's in less than a year

And third and last polo got knicked one night whilst up on axel stands mid suspension change

Polos are just bad luck for me

and my G just doesn't like me

i agree, although some bad luck mate feel for you, I've had a real crap start to the Year too luck wise but not involving my cars just my motorcycle :(

i loved that mk2 s so much, i'd of beat the living shit out of the bitch for crashing in to it. i don't agree with hitting women, but i'd put that car over my morals any day

although i'd say your doing quit well, you've had 2 pay outs on the same car and your still able to drive it, thats credit crunch busting motoring right there

Golf gti B-reg absolutely mint with 56k on the clock hit by a third party at roundabout, they admit liability car written off.

Polo g40 hit by uninsured taxi driver required new quarter panel £2k worth of work, was going to wrote off. Then whilst at works it was revered into twice by the same person trying to park, damaged bumper (caught on camera)

Polo tdi 52 plate waiting in traffic on holday, deaf lady reverses around blind corner and hits my wing, new wing required admitted liability.

Polo estate came out form work someone had reversed into the front bumper and knocked a golf ball size hole in the bumper, new bumper and front panel, driver had not left any details/ the following waek my neighbour returns home and forgot to put hand break on his car rolls into the back of my estate damaging the rear bumper and panel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lupo TDI only had one week, a foriegn toursit revered into it whislt car was parked at work, needed new door cost £1k, took two years for my excess to be padi back!!!!!

Lupo GTI retrned from a housing viewing and someone had reversed into the rear bumper and scratched it £250 repair, no details left.

The moral of the story is don't get too attached to your car.

i've had a very bad start the the year as wall

1 some idiot in a bmw e46 reversed into my mk2 polo coupe S twice and then smashed my dads leg up as wall on the 24/01/09

2 some silly cow in a fiesta on a roundabout drove into the sided of my daily (pug 405 estate)

in the last 6 months mines had waterpump go, thermostat go, thermostat housing go, bolt snapped off on subframe, exhaust fell off, wheel bearings go, every job i do on it goes wrong/takes ages, and its sporting some rather nice rust that wasnt there when i bought it too!

I've considered selling/scrapping/burning it several times, but its nearly getting sorted now! lol

well someone cross thread the old one and try to get it out

spend about 5 hours trying to get the snaped plug out... in the end i had to take the head off

thats my old one in my avatar, never had any probs with it.

the one I've got now is white! i didnt want a white one, but it was low milage and fantastic* condition

*terrible under the new paint!
