Like a 4x4, feel like I'm gonna topple over in the corners . There was a sweet GTi in Malvern, black with 60K on the clock, went to see it and loved it but hesitated too long and it sold on saturday which I only found out turning up on the sunday morning at his place with the intention to buy. Oh well my own fault I guess, I've been looking at other cars as well, 1.8Ts etc but the GTi is the only one I get reasonable insurance quotes for, so I'll stick with the search I think.

The silver GTi in sainsbury might be that one on the drive in Comer Road? Haven't seen it move yet but it's a possibility, I also saw a silver GTi on the roundabout in town the other day, didn't catch the plate though.

Aha yeah I was going to tell you about that black GTi as I saw it in the for sale section! It does look good though, black is very nice. You'll have to take me for a spin once you've got it :)

You're probably right, maybe I'll do it later today Just really wanted a colour other than silver but when you've got silver, red and black to choose from with cars few and far between, you can't really afford to be that fussy.

Yep only 3 colours available (however I did hear rumours of an extremely limited run of dark blue GTi's, although never seen one before). Yeah go round later today, i'll come down if you want. At the end of the day the cars just sitting there, i'd be interested to see what its like as i'd never go up to it because its someone elses car LOL. It's probably someone on this forum, and they are looking at this thread thinking "fucking cheeky buggers, thats my car!"

I've never heard of that or seen one but I guess it's a possibility, I find it amazing the amount of people on or connected to this forum in some way, nearly every spotted thread I put up, the owner or someone who knows the car usually speaks up, pretty crazy really..

Yeah its got a 3 letter 3 numeric private plate on it, i'd say go down and check it out, worst he/she can say is no! Silver GTi's can be made to look really nice with a small amount of mods. I think this one down comer road has leather and red belts but like I said i've never had a "proper" look at it.

Dark blue is/was a rumour, was told about it from my friend who used to work at VW but i've got no evidence to prove that it exists. I suppose if you've got a car that has at least one modification then you would go to a forum that know about them - i.e this one. There are loads of Mk4 Golfs around here, and I was in front of a pukka Mk1 Golf in red the other week.

See a good mixture of dubs around here, a few mk1 Golfs, there used to be an extremely clean one with black numberplates (old style) and ATS cups but haven't seen it recently. If you haven't already check out http://www.rubbadubz.co.uk/ for worcester dubbers. I'm much lauded by Dirrt cos I've never showed up to one of their meets, but it's a handy resource for tracking down cars, even if the forum isn't too active.

I've just signed up to the rubbadubz, the meets are just down the road from me (well, about 10 minutes). You reckon you're going to go down and ask about that silver GTi? Shame you're looking now and not a month ago because there was a 6n2 Gti in the paper for £2750, again silver hehe.
