I saw this car for sale on Pistonheads (which the advert has since been removed) and on Gumtree.

The seller claims he moved to the UK and bought the car a year ago.. but has since been called back by his company to work.

So he and the car are currently in Rome.. Same old story.. too difficult to drive on the right hand side of the road blahblahblah..

£2250 for this stunner of a polo & the shipping+insurance to the UK, I think not!

Just wondering if anyone knows the owner, so we could contact them because this is fraud advert!

I have worked in UK for the last 1 years and I've purchased the car there. My company wanted me back home, so currently I'm in Rome, Italy. I've bring the car home with me. I decided that is better to sell it because I don `t use it anymore (the wheel is on right side and is very difficult for me to drive it in Italy) and it `s a pitty to keep such a car and not to use it.

I realize that is a cheap price for such a car but my special situation makes me do things that I wouldn't do in normal circumstances.

The price I am looking for my car is £2,250 including the shipping costs,insurance and handling(delivery to EUROPE).

Sounds like a load of bullshit to be fair!

Should have asked him for the reg number so you could get an insurance quote...that might have tripped him up a bit.

So the fraudsters have started selling cars now instead of pretending to buy them?
