she was payin £60 somit quid while he was payin just a little more

why am i being quoted nearly double?? for a car alot smaller and older?

any insite to this?

double in one year? man that sucks :(

insurance has gone up a lot. as you are a young male, insurers think you are more likely to crash and therefore more likely to claim and to be fair £100-150 is a good price wait till you pass and the insurance will want to take even more money off you!

Young Females = cheap insurance

Young Males = Extremely expensive insurance

Tbh mate it seems as though they are putting the prices up on the smaller engine cars now

Also, do you mean 150 a month?

Try Admiral/Adrian Flux, they have quoted me okay quotes for my first year of driving.

If not apparently Quinn Direct are good? They quoted me a large amount though..however it depends on many different factors, mainly age and location and how long you have been driving for..

I advise that when you do pass your test, that you do a pass pluss asap, as this will lower your insurance for the first year of driving... (Don't pay anything over £120 for the pass pluss)

Good Luck mate :)

hmm good point, lil extra question, if i rode a 125 or a 50 and got me a NCB on that, would that help in lowering the price ( if ido eventualy pass i am going to go for Pass Pluss) and yeah the highest i was quoted was a nasty £150.92 a mont :@ did not like the look of that and additional

when i first bought the car even tho knowin it was grage bound i hunted, and was quoted nearly a year ago this feb £72.66

weird tbh :/

Yeah it should do mate :) Make sure you mention it when you talk to the insurance companies. (Phone them up as they often give you cheaper quotes/can lower the quotes)

Do you mean could you get NCD on a motorbike policy and transfer that to a car?

If so the answer's no.

edit: I should qualify this. I had the same idea a few years ago and asked around insurers. Got a universal no from them all.

I know it's only a rev counter, but try without the mods. And if it works, just take it off and get some CL/Coupe S clocks (they have a rev counter in).

I tried carrying over NCB from bikes a few years ago and i also got told no, also mate dont forget to see how much your insurance will be once you have passed Mine near enough doubled and other companys were a lot cheaper once id passed my test.
