guy lives near my way - comes from a family of vw lovers. they have done some mad mods to some vw's, his brother is a specialist at rebuilding and doing heavy mods to vw's.

I'm sure he has done a full turbo conversion on that coupe!

If it's the car I think it is (black with fully smoothed colour-coded bumpers?) it's not a G40. It's an NZ engine with machined pistons to lower CR, ported head, K03 turbo and G40 ECU - I mapped it at the beginning of the year. It's mapped on 1.2 bar of boost so should be fairly nippy!!

That corrado, I think I no the one R32 turbo, with naughty juice!, launch control gives it the firework affect!

It should be around 175bhp, and it did have a low-ratio 'box from a Polo GT on it - so I'd imagine it'd surprise a fair few cars when it can get traction. His brother's got a red Golf G60 - his target was to be able to keep up with that!

IIRC, its a middle aged fella who owns the breadvan, me and jake (Quicksilver_jake) spoke to him at poloshow last year. He was saying the breadvan would be going through a £6000 rebuild!
