Looking nice and original, slightly lowered on some gold minilite style wheels, most importantly it had the Derby lights! :-D

In the uni car park behind the new engineering building, think its a student car park?

You were first driving around about 11am ish, then after i'd finished for a bit i wondered into the car park and saw the roof a couple of rows away, naturally i wondered over to take a look...

Nice! Well it looks original on the outside, which is even better with that lump under the bonnet! The bodywork looked tidy to me, tidier than my mk2 at least.

I don't have my car here so you won't have seen mine around, but i drive a 91 Pearl Grey GT Coupe, and I've got an 83 Mars Red Formel E breadvan in bits too. Will hopefully have one up here at some point, definitely will next year, i'm a first year so paying for parking at the accommodation is ridiculous!

Cheers :-) Plans for the mk2 are to basically restore it, get it on the road and do a few small oem modifications to it; wheels, slight drop and a number of coupe S bits, its been in my family since 2001 so i can't get rid of it. I do want to upgrade the engine but i'm thinking some sort of hybrid mech head 8v.

The original plan was to have the mk2 on the road for me to learn to drive in when i was 17, it was still a long way from being roadworthy so i bought the mk3 (then a 1.0 cl) to use for a couple of months until the mk2 was on the road, i still own the mk3 2 years on and the mk2's still a long way off being roadworthy
