As the title says I'm still on the hunt got a gt AHD gearbox, after shattering 5th 

If it's just fifth gear there are still replacements available if it is the same as the 8P 085 gear set.

AHD is a close ratio box. 8P is longer 5th nicer cruising though...

I'm after the closer ratios as use the car for 1/4mile, 

lim still yet to strip down my gearbox to see what other damage is done, I know 5th is stripped loads of metal fillings when I took the end plate off 

Surely you don't get up to 5th on the 1/4mile though do you? A GT gearbox with a 8p/CEG 5th might be a pretty good compromise for road use too.

No I know don't get up to 5th, going for the AHD as that was what the car was set up with, 

5th as you have said could be anything, just unsure until I strip the whole box down if there may be other damage to the rest of the gear set, 

on the note of gear sets anyone know where to get replacements from?
