Black GT on bbs ra's.

Parked in Ilkeston, the retail park where halfords is.

My missus told me that on saturday morning someone in a black Mk3 going into Ilkeston(GT/G40 because she saw it had arches!) waved at me, but I blatantly ignored them, anyone else from here?

I was with the missus, she was driving so was in a corsa, just so happened to park next to your car lol.

I drive an almost identical mk3 to yours except mines red and not a GT yet

Yeah that was me! I was driving back to West Hallam from my missus' in Nottingham. Brilliant I love the 'You've been spotted forum'.

Lol, sorry for ignoring you! I normally try to wave at any Mk3 that looks remotely non standard or is a GT/G40, but I didn't even see you! Oh well, maybe next time :)

I got my fogs off ebay! You can still get them new from VW though!!

I live on Hallam Way! On the corner of Caversham way. Mine's the black one with 'Supercharged' decals down the side. I don't park down Chertsey but noticed your car a couple of times when i've been out walking the dog.

I used to always be around Nottingham, Derby, Ilkeston before I went uni and iv never seen a G40 around those ways. Only ever seen one GT too and that was minis84 the other day! haha

I didn't realise you lived in West Hallam!! Thats crazy, just opposite you live the parents of a lad called Shaun who's got (or did have the last time I spoke to him) a tidy black G, down about 80mm on 14" black p-slots. He now lives in Ilkeston near Station Road as far as i know! I spend most evenings at my missus's house on Chertsey Court, but my actual house is near Ripley!

And yeah, my names Tom too, Olop Chris also had a G (I think you've sold it now Chris?) and also lives in West Hallam! What car do you drive now Chris?

Confusing! But either way West Hallam has a surprising amount of Mk3's! There's a minty green GT in Stanley Common on the main road, and also that white Mk3 Square thats always parked on Station Road which is quite tidy :)

Thanks, they were on when I bought it. I think they give it that extra retro-ness.

Yeah I sold it a few months back now! Miss it like mad though...made a decision to buy a house but never went through with it in the end.

I was driving a fabia vrs up untill recently, but nothing at the moment! Should hopefully be picking up a mint mk2 golf gti 16v next week!

Yeah I know of him, I remember seeing his black G a while back stripped out back with German style plates. I don't know what happened to it.

I used to get random people in the village who waving at me when i first got the car. I put it down to them thinking I was Shaun!
