Hi all, new guy here with quite an annoying problem with my polo. First off it's a 2001 Polo 1.0 mpi 5-speed. I start it, and it will idle fine for a few mins, then after driving about a minute or two, it will start to bog down and have no power whatsoever, sounding like its running on 3 clyinders and backfiring through the intake, resulting in me having to stop, restart the engine and somehow that makes it so I can start off again, only to have the same problem recur, especially once I slow dow

Firstly, my apologies as this problem is posted on another forum, however I am desperate to fix the issue. My son has recently purchased his first car, a 2007 MY 1.4 Polo 5 door with low miles and full history. It’s a really nice vehicle, and drives extremely well, so much so that it belies its age. I've got a 1998 6K Polo Estate with central locking, and a (rotten) 2004 Mk2 Caddy with remote central locking. If I wanted to change the Estate to remote locking, what bits do I need off the Caddy? Am I right in thinking the receiver's on the central locking pump?
